After playing the last game and then troopering on into the sequel, I was not immediately impressed with #0017 on the PS2POCALYPSE, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II.
Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II Review – A Deep Dive Into the Forgotten Realms – The Negative Press – This is the link to what the AI thinks about this game, now we can jump into what I think about this game.
Upon starting the game I picked the Necromancer, because 1, Bathory and 2, Sepultura. I almost restarted the game. I am happy I didn’t after I unlocked the final skills of the Necromancer.

Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Story
Uh, you’re in the woods or something minding your own damn business and people get killed so they ask you to help, and you end up back in Baldur’s Gate doing shit for people again. It’s a continuation of the last game with Nazi Dragons and more Wench Boobs. Yep, I wasn’t paying attention again. You get more of a story playing as the Necromancer as there is a sidequest to hear about your story from Gandolf. You basically buy level ups from him as you give him money to read you your past and you get XP, be the Necromancer. What I can tell you here is that there is a story that exists and there is a lot of it.
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Story 8/10
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Gameplay
Ok, so much like the last game, were back in Diablo clone land. There are some new characters this time around with new skills and shit but I only played as the Necromancer. The Necromancer is cool. Yeah, Necromancer. If you take the time to build him up to high levels and pay for all the backstory with Gandolf you will get some super badass skills at the end of the game.
The end of the game is super tough yet again and it feels like it lasts forever.
Its basically the same game as its predecessor but way smoother with more features. It just takes a while to get good.
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Gameplay 9/10
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Difficulty
I would say this game is a lot more balanced than its predecessor.
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance Difficulty II 10/10
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Graphics
This game came out in 2001 and has better water in it than most games in 2024. I feel like that is all I got to say. Yep, I am keeping this box the same as the last one.
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Graphics 10/10
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Controls
Controls are smooth and responsive as long as you are paying attention to your health and heal accordingly and planning ahead for how long it takes for the heal to work.
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance Controls II 10/10
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Sound
They really upped the quality on the NPCs dialogue and voice actors in this game. The OST still has some banger tracks too.
Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance II Sound 8/10
The AI gave this game an 80%, I give it
