The interesting thing is I have a nostalgic connection to Twisted Metal. BUT GOD DAMN DO I LOVE ME SOME TWISTED METAL 2. This game is tough though. The issue with Twisted Metal 1 is you are outmanuevered by the AI. This game… you are gang stalked at every turn. If you take the AI of this game and the original, you get black. Set the world on fire in PSXSLAYER #0008 Twisted Metal 2, CRASH CRASH!

Twisted Metal 2 Story
Read my statement I made here about Twisted Metal… read it? good! Now, 2 we move on from text driven naratives and we are given some animated and voiced endings. The backdrop of this game is Calypso wants to bring Twisted Metal out of the arenas and to the whole damn world!
The real canonical ending that ties this game to Twisted Metal Black is Roadkill’s everyone is in a coma from a car accident ending. As stated, Roadkill is the “sane” personality of Sweet Tooth. This game is Roadkill’s dream.
I played the game as Axel. He just wants to be free from his machine in the most gory way possible. I do not know how that scene didn’t get this game a M rating.

Twisted Metal 2 Gameplay
We get out of the arenas and out on the streets. I believe the truth of what is going on here is Twisted Metal 2 causes the apocalypse.
We move country to country blowing the hell up out of everything and everyone. The gameplay is quicker, more responsive, a lot less tank feeling and a lot less floaty. HOLD THAT FUCKING MACHINE GUN BUTTON DOWN AND HOLD THAT TURBO HOMIE!
Everything is fine until you get to Holland and Hong Kong. Holland is a giant field of screams packed with every single other competitor. My game actually froze from a coding error because of how much shit is going on in that stage.
This game has got a lot going for it, super fun, very repayable, sick endings. Worth every second.
Dark Tooth is the final boss of this game. Minion is the half way boss. Good luck! Dark Tooth ain’t that hard, Hong Kong is harder than him.
This game introduced the inputs for freeze and backwards missiles and shit. Use them wisely.
Playing as Axel makes this game easy. Just bump into them fuckers are hard as possible and smash the special button. Freeze em if you have to.

You are going to get fucked at all corners. This game is harder than the first one by a long shot. The AI does not care about the other competitors… they…just…care…about…you, like how Sideshow Bob only cares about Bart.

This game has a killer OST. That title screen banger alone is worth the score. My issue is when you run out of turbo and hold it down, it just keeps clicking. I don’t understand why the lava makes the same sound as water either.
The voice acting is fucking awesome though.
