This game is the creature core you can’t ignore. I had to repost something you probably haven’t seen in a while. The original logo of The Negative Press. What does that say under the logo? Contrary To Popular Belief. It says that for games like this. I will never understand the hatred that is cast upon this game. I think it’s one of the betters of the entire series. Definitely better than that shit fuck of 4. We’ll get to that soon enough. Dig in Deeper in PSXSLAYER #0009 Twisted Metal III, Meet the Creeper!

Twisted Metal III PS1 Review – Ambition Without Control in a Divisive Sequel – The Negative Press–  Here is what those fat cat video game websites feel about this game, here is the slang banging cuss filled Douche Loder version of those words.

Twisted Metal III Story

Now, contrary to the contrarian statement I just made… Yes, this is the low point of the game. It’s no 10 but its no slouch neither. Where the other games provide a compelling story this game feels more like a contest that anyone can enter. Calypso narrates each stage when you get there, telling you some little tips and shit. Its a nice touch.

I played through this game with Thumper. That car is a beast in this game with the subwoofer boost special!

HOWEVER, the endings and characters kinda suck. This is the first game not developed by SingleTrac and it shows in the story.

Twisted Metal III Story 7/10

Twisted Metal III Gameplay

So, I read a lot of shit about how this game sucks. You must be talking about the story. You must have watched Jaffe himself play this game. You don’t have to agree with developers or publishers. The insanity that is Twisted Metal II is high octane. This game is very strategic. I forgot to mention that from Twisted Metal 1 to 2 we get rid of the little mechanic stalls for health and everything is health packs now.

We are going to go to some exotic places in this game just like 2. Each stage has a very methodical weapon of mass destruction in it. Especially if you take the time to get the Area 51 UFO attack environmental pick up.

Now, another interesting detail that this game gets correct and 4 doesn’t is the bosses. This game has a lot of bosses. Most are just old friends from the other games but one of them of course is FUCKING MINION. Minion in Paris is terrifying.

Just keep your fingers on the machine gun, hold down turbo and freeze the ever-loving shit out of everything moving and thump thump.

The final boss is Primeval… you can make him fall to his death. Its kinda neat.

Twisted Metal III Gameplay 9/10

Twisted Metal III Difficulty

You don’t really get ganged up on in this game. The enemy cars will fight each other kind of.

Twisted Metal III Difficulty 8/10

Twisted Metal III Graphics

Yeah, here is the big thing about this game. The graphics are sweet. The cars look so awesome. The stages look great.

Twisted Metal III Graphics 9/10

Twisted Metal III Controls

So, maybe it is because I played as Thumper. Who knows. But god damn. I do not understand how people think the controls suck in this game.

Twisted Metal III Controls 9/10

Twisted Metal III Sound

Did you read the title. Did you catch the reference in the opening. This game has Rob Zombie music in it and Pitchshifter. This soundtrack rules and so does the fucking sound effects. Boo if you disagree. Voice acting sucks. Also there are times when Calypso speaks in the start of the stage and it is really really hard to hear. That’s a mixing issue.

Twisted Metal III Sound 7.5/10

The AI gave this game a 57%, I give it
