If you know about me through Twitch you probably just believe that I only care about PS1 and PS2 games. Well, the first two consoles I ever laid my hands upon were the Sega Genesis and Sega CD. With that being said, Outrun is a game that lies near and dear to my heart.
Another thing I don’t tell people is that I enjoy tuner cars, Tokyo Xtreme Racer being my favorite racing game series of all time.
So, you’re telling me it took me 7 years to find out that there is a game where you get to drive a 300ZX through Outrun? Sign me the fuck up. You add all that up and you got Slipstream.
Slipstream is a fun little challenging Outrun like drift machine. You have a choice between a few cars but that damn 300ZX is just so balanced. If you can’t tell I really want a 300ZX and have for quite some time since I lost my NX2000.
Showcased in the video is the Perfectionist I trophy, which is acquired by finding all the exits in Grand Tour mode. I haven’t dicked around with the other modes yet but I will.
This was captured on PC but the game is ported to pretty much all consoles since 2022.
