Netflix made a groundbreaking move into the realm of live events, sealing a monumental deal worth $5 billion US on Tuesday. This strategic partnership, spanning a decade, positions Netflix as the exclusive destination for World Wrestling Entertainment’s Raw starting from January 2025 onwards.

The expansive 10-year collaboration will see Raw become a prominent fixture on the streaming platform across the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, and Latin America, among other regions, according to joint statements from both companies.

Beyond the borders of the United States, Netflix secures exclusive broadcasting rights for all WWE shows and specials, including the electrifying SmackDown, as well as the much-anticipated pay-per-view live events such as WrestleMania and Royal Rumble.

Since its debut in 1993, Raw has etched its legacy with a remarkable 1,600 episodes, showcasing iconic wrestlers like Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, and Rhea Ripley. Currently, in the United States, the three-hour spectacle graces the USA Network.

The media rights to acclaimed programs like Raw surged in demand over recent months, particularly following the WWE comeback of wrestling luminary CM Punk in November. This sparked intense speculation about which network or streaming platform would emerge as the chosen one to host the adrenaline-fueled action.
