The highly anticipated heavyweight boxing showdown featuring legendary boxer Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul is set to take place on November 15 at AT&T Stadium. This much-awaited event is just under two months away and is generating significant buzz in the sports world.

In addition to the fight itself, a documentary series leading up to the bout, titled Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, will debut on Netflix on November 7. Netflix will also stream the fight live. The docuseries promises a deep dive into 58-year-old Tyson’s preparations for his return to the ring, marking his first match since his 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. After a health scare delayed the original fight date, Tyson is ready to face Jake “The Problem Child” Paul in what promises to be a unique event.

Paul, fresh off a victory against bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry in July via a sixth-round TKO, will also be featured in the series, showcasing his training for this bout against one of the most iconic names in boxing.

Fight Details:

  • Date: Friday, November 15
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET
  • Streaming: Netflix (not available on TV)

Fight Rules:

The fight, sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, will consist of eight two-minute rounds, and both fighters will use heavier 14-ounce gloves.

Fight Card:

While the full fight card has not been released, here are some confirmed matches:

  • Super Lightweight Title Bout: Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano
  • Middleweight: Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes
  • Welterweight: Mario “El Azteca” Barrios vs. Abel Ramos

Concerns Over Tyson’s Health:

After Tyson experienced a medical emergency earlier this year, some questioned whether he would be fit to fight. However, Paul expressed confidence in Tyson’s health, dismissing the need for a backup. “He’s doing great,” Paul told reporters, “and there’s not a backup currently.” He acknowledged the risks involved but praised Tyson’s condition.

Predictions:

Opinions are split on the outcome. Renowned trainer Teddy Atlas suggests that the first few minutes could be dangerous for Paul, given Tyson’s speed and power, but believes the younger fighter has the advantage as the fight progresses.

Others, such as former opponent Roy Jones Jr., think Tyson might be too much for Paul to handle despite his age, while sports analyst Adam Burke sees Paul’s youth and recent fight experience giving him an edge.

Odds:

As of late September, betting odds favor Paul:

  • Moneyline: Paul (-290) | Tyson (+220)

Ticket Prices:

AT&T Stadium will host up to 80,000 spectators, with ticket prices ranging from $87 for upper concourse seats to over $47,000 for ringside seats, according to Vivid Seats.

Tale of the Tape:

  • Jake Paul: 6’1”, 230 lbs, age 27
  • Mike Tyson: 5’10”, 220 lbs, age 58

With the fight rapidly approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting this unlikely matchup between the seasoned veteran and the rising star.
