Released in 1995, Battle Arena Toshinden was one of the first 3D fighting games for the PlayStation console. It quickly gained a following for its fast-paced gameplay and impressive graphics, but the game also had some secrets and unlockables that were discovered by dedicated players.
One of the most significant unlockables in Battle Arena Toshinden is the additional characters that can be unlocked. The game’s default roster of eight characters can be expanded to include two additional fighters, Sho and Vermilion, by meeting certain conditions. For example, players can unlock Sho by completing the game on the normal difficulty setting with a time of less than ten minutes. Vermilion can be unlocked by completing the game on the hard difficulty setting with a time of less than ten minutes.
