Dino Crisis 2 PS1 Review – Capcom’s Arcade Evolution of Survival Horror – The Negative Press – Here is what those fat cat video game websites feel about this game, here is the slang banging cuss filled Douche Loder version of those words.
As a Resident Evil fan, I am happy this game is nothing like it’s counterpart Resident Evil. I may sound a bit hypocritical here when I say THIS game is better as an action B-Movie type game which is my biggest complaint of Resident Evil 4. IMO RE4 is not a survival horror game and is too zany to be called Resident Evil, but it is still enjoyable. This game is what I feel this series should be, unserious and edgy… you know because you are hacking the fuck out of these dinosaurs.
Dino Crisis 2 Story
I really wasn’t paying attention to the story and couldn’t grasp it when I was. We got two playable characters this time, Regina and some dude. This game has something to do with time travel, ninja women trying to kill you and of course DINOSAURS.
A lot of people really enjoyed Dino Crisis and it’s seriousness… Me? I enjoy the fuck out of this nonsense! This is a breath of prehistoric air.
Somehow Dylan, earlier mentioned as “some dude” 45 years into the future has a daughter and manipulates time to stop the dino-invasion using Regina’s never ending inventory stuffing anal cavity to succeed.
Ugh, it makes no sense, but hey whatever, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… It’s Capcom

So… I have mentioned this a million times by now… you add the ability to hack the shit out of dinosaurs preventing you from being gang raped in raptor alley and yep you got some good gameplay. Then you add a combo system… HELL YEAH… And, you allow players to upgrade weapons and buy ammo and health from save points with your combo points!!!! FUCK YEAH!
Taking everything wrong with Dino Crisis 1, 2 makes so much more action enjoyable. You have a wide array of dinosaur enemies more than just raptors and the puzzles are not mind draining. Also, THAT FUCKING GUN YOU GET AT THE END WITH DYLAN THAT’S BASICALLY THAT GIANT GUN FROM ROBOCOP IS THE SHIT!
The only thing that gets somewhat tedious is grinding for weapons. You gotta run back and forth killing raptors trying to combo their asses to get some points to buy weapons you need as keys. There are a lot of plants that need napalm.

When you allow for a weapon reserve to be accessed from save points you fix a lot of the issues presented in the previous game. The only problem is you remove the survival part and make it more action. This game is an Action Horror game!
Seriously though, save points plentiful! Stress alliviated. Dinosaurs are still going to fuck you! You are still going to get stuck at points!
